About Us

Futures Unwalled is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps children with disabilities and their families access services, supports, and community resources.

We support children and families in navigating developmental, behavioral, healthcare, school-based, and community systems.

The Need

Children with disabilities face barriers to accessing services and supports.

Children with disabilities and their families are frequently expected to navigate multiple systems on their own while trying to understand eligibility requirements, available resources, and complex service processes.

When children cannot access needed supports, it can lead to:

  • delays in services

  • unmet developmental and educational needs

  • increased family stress

  • missed opportunities for early intervention and support

We work alongside families to:

  • identify support needs

  • explain available disability-related services

  • guide families through eligibility and access processes

  • prepare for meetings and appointments

  • support communication across providers and systems

  • connect children and families to community-based resources

  • coordinate support across systems when appropriate

Our focus is helping children access services more effectively while ensuring families feel supported throughout the process.

Our Impact

Since 2025, Futures Unwalled has supported more than 100 families through disability services navigation and family support services.

As a result:

  • children access services more quickly

  • families better understand available supports

  • communication across systems improves

  • children receive more consistent and appropriate services

We receive referrals from healthcare providers, Regional Centers, schools, and community organizations throughout Southern California.

This reflects both the growing need for these services and the trust families and professionals place in our support.

Addressing Basic Needs

Some children face additional barriers that impact stability, school participation, and access to resources.

Through our Warm Futures for Learning initiative, we provide:

  • clothing

  • backpacks

  • school supplies

These supports help reduce immediate barriers so children can better access learning opportunities and essential supports.
